What do you do after getting a five hour
blood transfusion?

You go back to that clay car assignment and continue studying for the next algebra exam. That’s what Andrew does. He goes back to his normal everyday activities. Andrew knows that his life was just extended one more month. His body does not have the genes to make red blood cells and without his monthly transfusions, he would not be alive.

If you saw Andrew with all his friends you’d never guess that he’s had a blood transfusion every month since he was six months old or that each night he sticks a needle into his abdomen and sleeps while a machine pumps medicine in his body.

Under these conditions, it’s amazing to see Andrew greet each day with joy and excitement. Andrew is what heroes are made of and thanks to Blood Donors like you, Andrew lives.

Give Blood.
It’s Safe.
It’s Simple.
It Saves Lives.
