Downtown Professionals Needed for Industry Drives
 Members of higher education, advertising, public relations, law and technology industries are being called on to help meet the needs of Hawaii's patients in July by giving blood at the Blood Bank of Hawaii's Downtown Donor Center.
“Businesses of these prevalent industries can make a difference by sending in a few volunteers to give the gift of life in July,” explained BBH President & Medical Director Robyn Yim, M.D. “During the summer, blood usage is usually higher than other months with lower than average donor turnout. We are asking the industry as a whole to help keep Hawaii safe by ensuring that blood is available for everyone who needs it.”
Letters are being sent to companies within these industries to ask for participation. One week is scheduled specifically for each industry at the Downtown Donor Center and donor appointments can be made between 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
