Taking Service to New Heights Aaron Knapp finds that his experience as a flight instructor and his work as a field representative at the Blood Bank of Hawaii have one thing in common—they are both thrilling. “It's so rewarding to work daily with staff members, volunteers and blood donors who are passionate about saving lives,” Knapp said.
Making a difference in people's lives has been a motivating force in his professional pursuits. Prior to joining the BBH, he educated Hawaii communities on the importance of injury prevention and disaster preparedness. “To work in a non-profit organization you have to be driven by the desire to help people and I truly enjoy my work here,” he said. Knapp works
closely with organizations and businesses, including Straub Clinic &
Hospital, The Queen's Medical Center and Tony Auto Group, to coordinate
blood drives. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International
Business from Manchester College and completed his first solo flight as a
senior in high school.
