New Recruitment Tools Available

The Blood Bank of Hawaii has two new tools to help you recruit blood donors. If you would like to receive a blood recipient DVD or blood drive coordinator tags, please contact your BBH field representative.

Blood Recipient DVD
Testimonials of blood recipients sharing their experiences with the need for blood and conveying their gratitude to blood donors is now available on DVD. These real life stories have inspired many to give and helped those who already donate know that they're appreciated. Show them at company meetings, recruitment functions or in your donor refreshment area.

There are 10 featured speakers including:

Former University of Hawaii Men's Volleyball Champion Tony Ching who received blood after injuring his head and knees in a moped accident.

Rebecca Takahashi, a Kaneohe teen who needed blood during surgery to remove a cancerous brain tumor.

Brandt Izumo, a Roosevelt High School student who relies on blood donors for his treatment of Crohn's Disease

Coordinator Tags
Special recruitment tags to identify you with your organization's blood drives and help prompt questions from possible donors are available in sets with four different slogans.

The tags are attached to a lanyard that can be worn around your neck in the days or weeks preceding your blood drive.
