A New Way to Get Your Donors Signed Up Next month,
blood donors will be
asked to commit to donating again in eight weeks by filling out an
appointment reminder postcard, presented during the donation process.
“Scheduling
appointments
right away provides us with a more accurate assessment of how many other
donors are needed to meet the needs of Hawaii's patients on the day of
your blood drive," explained BBH Director of Donor Services Aaron Knapp.
“It is extremely helpful in our efforts to recruit enough donors to meet
the expected usage of Hawaii's hospitals. The new system should also
help our Lifesaver Club members. Since appointments are already
scheduled for regular donors, coordinators can focus on encouraging more
first-time donors to give the gift of life.” |
