Position Overview:
The Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing a corporate external and internal communications plan to effectively position BBH positively in the community; ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice. This position also executes marketing strategic plans using digital and other vehicles including social media, website and other multimedia tools

Job Duties and Responsibilities Summary:
1. Communications and Public Relations
- Media Relations – develops and maintains strong relationships with print and broadcast media. Stays current on local regional and national news trends and assesses opportunities and impact to organizational business. Assists with the development of media correspondence such as press release, press kits and talking points. As part of PR team, serves as the primary internal point of contact for media inquiries.
- Customer/ Partner Relations – Supports strong continuing relationships with donors, customers, and other community stakeholders by effective communications, managing questions and concerns. Assists donor services leadership with donor recognition and recruitment strategies.
- Corporate Communications – Assist in the development of internal and external corporate communications. These include website content, electronic and print publications, memos and correspondences.
- Corporate Branding – Helps develop and maintain corporate branding guidelines (style, visuals and voice) and provides support to internal departments to align with corporate branding.
2. Marketing – Social Media, Website and Print
- Content Development – Works individually and collaboratively to create and develop video, still photography and written content for social media, website and print marketing vehicles. Strategizes with key management team on expansion needs as services and organization grows. Also ensures compliance with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and partners with IT or vendors for SEO optimization and analytics; and
- Maintenance – Primary internal responsibility to maintain community engagement for social media and website.
- Analytics – Analyzes performance metrics and helps create reports to support strategic planning and innovative recommendations for social media initiatives. Conducts basic research as needed to engage the community and investigate any trending activities within the community.
- Process Improvement – Collaboratively utilizes results of research and analytics to develop tactics and strategies to improve effectiveness of content and delivery.
3. Marketing – Outreach and Events
- Speaker Ambassador Program – Oversees the speaker ambassador program; recruits, develops, and manages a cadre of volunteer speaker ambassadors to support strategic programs, including blood donation, HR recruitment and workforce development.
- Planning – Plans or assists in the planning of outreach and other marketing events.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Two to three years’ relevant experience in public relations communications, social media or a related field. Solid understanding of marketing and public relations principles.
- Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination methods.
Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to engage and effectively align with corporate messaging to diverse stakeholders. Excellent listening skills with demonstrated interviewing skills.
- Good customer service skills with the ability to work with and service diverse individuals and provide excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and strengthen relationships with internal and external professional and business partners to promote corporate interests and execute corporate strategies.
- Detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under time constraints to meet project deadlines.
- Good judgment skills and the ability to execute tasks with sensitivity and discretion to meet the needs of the organization and its many public interfaces.
- Goal-oriented, individual initiative with high performance standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to perform functions and tasks that require unpredictable schedules including weekends, holidays, early and late work hours.
- Strong computer and technology skills including proficiency in MS Office suite, video production and editing, and website content tools.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Salary exempt $45,000 – $60,000/year
