Primary Purpose:
Under the direction of the Field Recruitment Supervisor, the Donor Recruitment Account Manager is responsible for scheduling blood drives and working with drive coordinators to ensure sufficient numbers of donors are recruited for these drives to meet established collection goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment
a. Donor Engagement
• Educate, motivate, and manage donor groups to increase participation in Hawaii’s Community Blood Donor Program.
• Promote interest and support in the donor program through presentations, outreach, and community events.
• Provide accurate information to individuals, groups, and companies during BBH presentations to grow the donor base.
b. Blood Drive Coordination
• Schedule and coordinate blood drives statewide across the four major islands to meet collection goals.
• Organize, maintain, and monitor drives with other Donor Recruitment Account Managers and BBH support staff to ensure quality service for donors and Lifesaver Clubs.
• Develop and expand Lifesaver Clubs and participation.
c. Community & Organizational Outreach
• Build and maintain strong relationships with coordinators, business partners, and organizations sponsoring blood drives.
• Expand donor participation in companies, schools, churches, clubs, and community organizations, including first-time donors.
• Implement department strategies and tactics to convert targeted potential donor groups, aligning with Blood Bank and Marketing & Recruitment goals.
d. Leadership & Program Development
• Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to donor groups, club coordinators, community groups, and volunteers.
• Advocate and promote the Blood Bank’s mission throughout the community.
• Work with the Field Recruitment Supervisor to assess, develop, and implement programs addressing the motivational and educational needs of internal and external counterparts.
e. Data & Record Management
• Ensure account and drive data is accurately updated in the computer system and drive checklist.
2. Customer Service
a. Communication & Organization
• Ensure communication between driving coordinators and/or the public is accurate and timely.
• Establish priorities to meet schedules and goals.
• Document and share information effectively to keep files updated and accurate.
• Request assistance when needed and complete agreed-upon priorities according to timelines.
• Regularly update presentations to keep materials current.
• Once business relationships are established, determine and communicate the best methods for service delivery and satisfaction.
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing; articulate BBH’s mission, policies, and objectives accurately.
• Handle correspondence and reports promptly to ensure quality service.
• Maintain positive inter- and intra-departmental relationships through cooperation, follow-up, and professionalism.
• Maintain courteous and cooperative relationships with co-workers, donors, and the public, providing excellent customer service internally and externally.
b. Volunteer & Community Relations
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteer committees that assist with blood drives.
• Meet with community groups regularly, keeping them informed of pertinent information.
• Assist with training new group members.
• Follow up promptly on feedback from group members and respond appropriately.
c. Team Support
• Collaborate with other Donor Recruitment Account Managers and departments to achieve overall department goals.
3. Communication & Reporting
• Keep management and the team informed of field activities and important updates.
• Report regularly to the Field Recruitment Supervisor and address any concerns.
• Attend meetings to discuss challenges, share ideas, and suggest solutions.
• Maintain accurate and timely account and drive information in the system.
4. Other
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department objectives.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Business or Marketing preferred).
Experience:
• 1–2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or community outreach preferred.
• Proven ability to meet goals and build strong client or community relationships.
Skills:
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and presentation skills — comfortable speaking to large and small groups.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
• Professional and positive attitude when working with diverse individuals and groups.
• Strong leadership skills with experience motivating volunteers or teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and internet tools.

• Flexible schedule to meet drive and event deadlines.
• Willingness to travel between islands and occasionally out-of-state.
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Pay Range: $57,000-59,000/year
Expected hours: 40 per Week
