Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing and providing an efficient, safe and compliant transport of various purposes to include but is not limited to bloodmobiles (buses) to include transport of staff, supplies and equipment; maintains company vehicles and perform other duties as assigned. Works collaboratively as a member of the team and in alignment with the values of the organization.

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid In-State (Hawaii) driver’s license and CDL A or B license with Air Brakes Endorsement and acceptable driving record required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs all assigned duties in compliance with the organizational policies and procedures to include internal SOPs and external regulations.
Assures exceptional customer service to all our customers.
Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the attendance policy.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Maintains complete and accurate records.
Drives and maintains company vehicles.
Transport staff, supplies and equipment.
Assist with mobile preparation, staging and setup (i.e. Bloodmobiles and Inside setup to include Neighbor Island), as assigned.
Maintains complete and accurate records.
Reports all incidents and/or compliance issues to management.
Safely and properly disposes and/or cleans-up biohazards/sharps or contaminated items while following OSHA and regulations on universal precautions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Education:

High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required.

Experience:

Driving experience in a business environment preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Must have proficient computer skills.
Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures and instructions.

Professional, business-like appearance.

Able to adjust hours to meet community blood needs.
Able to Travel to the outer island, as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.22 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
