Phlebotomist - Collections Specialist Trainer

Under the direction of the Collections Manager, the Phlebotomist Collections Trainer is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive staff training program for Collections to include whole blood and automated collections; and all aspects of collecting a quality unit that is pure and potent. Participate in the development, review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Performs all duties of Collections Specialist.

The Collections Trainer may also be responsible for performing tissue related operational procedures and tasks that comply with core current good tissue practice (cGTP) requirements. Ensures all procedures and processes are performed as designed to prevent circumstances that increase the risk of the introduction, transmission, or spread of communicable diseases through the use of human cells, tissue and cellular and tissue-based products (HCT/Ps).
